Five pieces of the legislation I introduced are on their way to the Governor's desk, along with two others that were incorporated into my colleague's bills. HB 501 was converted to a budget amendment allocating $200,000 to the Department of Environmental Quality to conduct a study on our dropping water table. I was also able to secure an amendment in the House budget to make Oak Hill our newest state park, and I am working hard to ensure its inclusion in the final budget. There is much work still to do, but I'm proud to bring home these important reforms for HD30. Please find links to the completed legislation by clicking the bill numbers below. |
HB505Delivers accountability, transparency, and fiscal stability for the people of Purcellville and strengthens conflict of interest laws for localities. |
HB507Prevents the Department of Environmental Quality from issuing air permits to data centers unless each engine-generator meets Tier 4 (or equivalent) emissions standards. |
HB508Defines “Agrivoltaics” as combining agriculture and small-scale solar on the same land while prioritizing farming activity. |
HB510Power of attorney reform that prevents elder abuse and fraud by allowing certain people to review the financial records of loved ones. |
HB511Incorporated into Del. Josh Thomas's bill, HB 153 to improve the siting process for data centers, empowering localities in the decision-making process and ensuring all new data centers are located on sites zoned for industrial use. |
HB693Updates code to streamline governance, improve accountability, and enhance Virginia’s ability to deliver effective workforce solutions across the Commonwealth through the VA Works Agency. |
HB1349Incorporated into Delegate Rip Sullivan's HB55 to launch a noise abatement pilot program to provide relief to residents along Rt.17. |
