I am deeply grateful to Governor Spanberger for hearing the call from thousands of Western Loudoun residents and amending the budget to include the acquisition of Oak Hill as Virginia's newest State Park to fulfill the promise of my House Bill HB500 from the 2026 Regular Session.
On Monday, I hope the legislature will vote YES to give future generations the opportunity to experience the home of President James Monroe and learn the many stories that define this remarkable place.
As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, this investment reflects Virginia's enduring commitment to preserving its history, expanding access to public lands, and creating a lasting legacy for generations to come.
Delegate John C. McAuliff
